I will be putting out a debug version of the game that will log more info about what is causing the crash. It will create a file in your Xenimus folder named MYDEBUG.TXT

After a crash send that file to me by pasting it into the website or attaching it to an email and sending it to ejthayer09@comcast.net

I will post on the website when that debug version is ready.

On both of my PC's, when logging in a non-transe location, my game crashes, pretty sure everyone crashes like that when logging in those areas. I'll send u a bunch of areas I crash when I get home lol, theres going to be tons.

It wont be useful to send a bunch of crash areas, wait until I have the debug version ready.

I seem to be getting a different bug from most people, but I think I've heard of others having it as well: When I start the game and I'm on the main menu, my cursor is stuck in the upper-left corner of the screen and the game receives no input from the mouse. I'm running this at 1366x768 on a Windows 7 laptop with up-to-date drivers and DirectX.

I know why this happens (to me at least)

If you force your computer to engage in another activity other than xenimus while its in its boot state, it "looses" the mouse control. To test this, run xenimus in window mode, alt tab (change window) and just click on whatever thats not xenimus related.

User-fix:

Have patience when you start xenimus up. Do not do anything.

Appreciate the tip, although I had tried windowed mode with no success. Deleting gamedefs.dat did solve the problem however.
